The Lagos State Government has officially repossessed the Okunde Bluewater Scheme located in Lekki, a significant move aimed at restoring control over the waterfront infrastructure.
The re-possession exercise was spearheaded by Hon. Ekundayo Alebiosu, the Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, along with Engr. Olumide Sotire, the representative of the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Permanent Secretary, and Mrs. Lolade Aina, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development.

Hon. Alebiosu emphasized the importance of the repossession in ensuring that the development aligns with the state’s infrastructure plans and maintains the integrity of the waterfront.
He stated, “This action underscores our commitment to managing and developing our waterfronts responsibly, ensuring they meet the needs of all Lagosians while promoting sustainable growth.”
The repossession of the Okunde Bluewater Scheme is part of the Lagos State Government’s broader initiative to enhance urban development and restore public confidence in state-managed projects.
