Friends and associates of philanthropist Prince Olawale Sobola have described the conferment of a Doctorate Degree honoris causa by Prowess University, Delaware, USA, as well-deserved, considering his remarkable achievements in both professional and social endeavors.
Sobola, who received a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration, was honored in recognition of his overall accomplishments in industry and humanitarian efforts.
The award ceremony, which took place today, Saturday, August 23rd, at the Balogun Subomi Hall, University of Ibadan, drew the crème de la crème of Nigerian society from all walks of life.
Speaking at the event, the African Representative of Prowess University, Professor Eze Nwauba, congratulated the awardees and noted that the awards are, without a doubt, a testimonial confirmation of their contributions to the economic growth and social development of their communities.
He noted that Sobola was recognized for his leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to foster innovation and growth.
He added that the philanthropist is known for his drive to make a positive impact on society. Sobola was earlier honored by the ECOWAS Youth Council with the title of Youth Ambassador.
Professor Nwauba further stated that Sobola’s recognition stems from his exceptional leadership, visionary mindset, and commitment to transformative initiatives.
