Pelican Valley estates get diasporan support boost

Nigerians in diaspora have lauded the management of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited for establishing and maintaining a top-notch standard for its properties at the Pelican Valley Estate, Laderin and Pelican Brief estate, Kobape.

The commendation came after a 3-man delegation of the Leadership and Governance, Canada visited the Pelican estates in Abeokuta on Wednesday for an assessment of properties at the estate.

The delegation also used the opportunity to formally invite the Pelican Valley CEO, Dr Babatunde Adeyemo, as a speaker during the Toronto edition of the 2024 Canada-Nigeria Business Investment Summit. The event scheduled for October 8-12, 2024 has the theme “Promoting Business Partnership With Africa’s Biggest Economy.”

It will be recalled that Adeyemo, the United Nations-POLAC Ambassador for Peace, is also billed to speak at another Canadian Trade Mission organised by Solteque Inc. Canada and scheduled to hold in July 2024.

Speaking during the visit, President, Leadership and Business, Canada, Mr Sam Adewale, commended the Pelican team for keeping to a standard that can attract diasporan investors.

“From what I have seen, Pelican Valley set the pace in such a unique way such that the diasporans can rely on them. This is a trusted real estate that diasporans trust.

“One of the sectors of the event in infrastructure which we are inviting Pelican Valley to be part of. Because from what we have seen at Pelican Valley, they have the infrastructure in houses and real estate that are of great quality that diasporans can benefit from,” Adewale said.

On his part, the group’s vice president, Mr Kola Esomojumi, said, “what I can see here is innovative and different.”

He added that “We thank God we created time to be here today to see in reality what is going on. We had the opportunity to see the presentation that you did a couple of weeks ago. We felt that once we are in Nigeria, we’ll come to visit so as to see what is going on.

“I must confess that the standard here with the road network and apartments is compared to what you see overseas and I’m happy that about 700 diasporans are already subscribing and developing more confidence in what our developers are doing. The price point is not one that will require you to break a bank.”

The director of the group, Mr Blackson Olaseni Bayewumi, said: “We will be hosting the 2024 Toronto edition of the Nigerian-Canadian Business Investment Summit on October 8-12, 2024. We are here to extend the invitation to this beautiful company to be part of it.

“We are here and we’ve seen the properties here (Pelican Brief) and the ones at the Pelican Valley. We can see that the development, infrastructure and materials being used are standard. We want to say we are so impressed with what we can see here and would like to enjoin people that desire to be part of it.”

While welcoming the delegation, Adeyemo assured the delegation and investors that more infrastructural developments would have been completed by September 2024 when the first set of apartments at the Pelican Ecostay Apartments will be launched.

Adeyemo said: “I am delighted to host our fathers who came from Canada having seen my presentation online and want to be part of the incredible things we are doing here. We have just started. By the time they come back on September 11, 2024, it is going to be a different ball game because we plan to bring the whole of Abeokuta here to commission our first set of apartments at the Pelican Ecostay Apartments.

“I want to assure you that you will never be disappointed in us. We have been in this business for almost 15 years without a court case and it won’t happen in our relationship with you. We will not relent in our passion and vigour for development. You won’t be disappointed.”
