FOLLOWING the emergence of former Vice President of the country, Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 general elections, a chieftain of the Party and the member representing Billiri East Constituency in the Gombe State House of Assembly, Rambi Ibrahim Ayala has expressed optimism that the PDP will return to power at the federal and state levels in 2019.
Rambi Ayala made this known in an interactive session with Journalists in Gombe on Sunday on the outcome of the primaries conducted by the party at all levels which he opined was less rancorous than that of the ruling APC across the country.
The lawmaker said that the way PDP members have resolved the crisis that almost rocked the party was an indication that the days of crisis in the party are gone and would be victorious in 2019 all levels.

“We have had our dark times but we are now out of them and resolved to work together as one big family. The crisis the party experienced some months back had helped in shaping the party. This has helped in repositioning the party which many Nigerians know is the most inclusive party in the country”, he said.
He added that “We are very much confident as a party that Nigerians will vote PDP into power come 2019. Our greatest strength is our collective resolve to see that the party return to power. This unity of purpose will help make PDP a united house ahead of the general elections”.
Rambi Ayala, however, stressed the need for the party to insist on fairness and justice as the 2019 general elections draw nearer and thanked all the people of Billiri East Constituency for voting him as the PDP candidate once again.
