The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has described the protest staged by the members of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) on the approval of N300bn loan request of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State government as act of irresponsibility.
The State House of Assembly presided over by Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, at its plenary last month approved the N300bn loan as requested by the governor.
However, a lawmaker representing Saki West state constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Shittu faulted the acclaimed passage of the loan request.
He argued that there was neither plenary session as made to believe nor the required 2/3 members in attendance.
This necessitated the protest staged by the State chapter of the party.
But the spokesperson of the PDP, Michael Ogunsina, in a telephone chat with the Nigerian Tribune said the protest further confirmed the members of the APC as bunch of jobless people.
According to him, “The protest was sponsored by the unscrupulous elements. The outcome is inconsequential.
“If the protesters are in need of jobs, they should not hesitate to apply to the Oyo State government.
If Tinubu has failed in the provision of jobs, Oyo State government will not fail at ensuring that they are gainfully employed.
“How can reasonable beings woke up in the morning and decide to be roaming the streets? Definitely, something is wrong with the members of the APC in Oyo State.
“Governor Makinde and the lawmakers are in order with the request and approval of the N300bn loan.
We, the entire PDP family are in total support of the various policies of Governor Seyi Makinde led administration.
