The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has pegged the cost of its nomination and expression of interest forms for the Anambra State governorship election at ₦35 million and ₦5 million, respectively, bringing the total to ₦40 million.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the Anambra governorship election for Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The party outlined its electoral timetable in a letter addressed to the PDP Anambra State Chairman, Chidi Chidebe.
The letter was also copied to the party’s National Secretary, Sunday Ude-Okoye, and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
The correspondence, dated February 13, was signed by PDP National Organising Secretary Umar Bature.
The timetable indicates that the deadline for the submission of nomination forms is March 7, while the screening of aspirants will take place on March 11.
Any appeals regarding the screening process must be submitted by March 14.

A meeting of the NWC is scheduled for March 19 to approve and release the final list of cleared candidates.
The ward congress to elect three ad hoc delegates per ward is scheduled for March 20–21, followed by the local government congress to elect one delegate per LGA on March 27.
The PDP will present the Certificate of Return to its chosen candidate on April 10, while the party will submit the candidate’s and running mate’s names and credentials to INEC on May 22.
