The nullity of the title of the Sarkin Sasa has further deepen the leadership crisis among the various Hausa groups in Oyo state.
Tribune Online reports that the Olubadan in Council, at the end of its meeting stated that the title, Sarkin Sasa is not known in the face of law, and, thereby declared it null and void.
A faction of the Hausa community had installed Malam Ciroma as successor to the throne after demise of his father, Late Haruna Maiyasin.
However, the Seriki Hausawa of Oyoland Muhammed Ibrahim described the enthronement of Ciroma and the title Sarkin Sasa as an affront on the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Ibrahim made the position of the Hausawa community known at a press conference in Ibadan.
He submitted that they would not allow or accept anybody or a group of people to ridicule the exalted stool of Olubadan.
He stressed that a group of emissaries has been delegated to visit the Olubadan palace and tender an apology on behalf of Haruna Maiyasin’s family.
Ibrahim said, “There is a misunderstanding between this palace and late palace (Sasa), And we are here to settle the matter amicably bcause what we want is peace.
“Oyo is a Pacesetter State, so we don’t want anyone to disrupt the relative peace of this land.
“We (Hausa) are all under Olubadan of Ibadanland. We are not happy with what happened when they announced one of the sons of the late Haruna to succeed his father without the consent of the Olubadan, without the consent of the constituted authorities.
“We need to go and appeal to the Olubadan for what the son of the late Haruna and his family did. In fact, his action was too bad.
“Sasa is an area which is under Ibadan. Even Sasa is not a Local Government. It’s under Akinyele Local Government.
“We are in support of the decision of Olubadan-In-Council to declare the Sarkin Sasa title as null and void.
“Nobody can announce anything in Sasa after the late Haruna apart from Olubadan. Olubadan is the only person that can do that.
“So, there is no Sarkin Sasa. Or who appointed him? Anyway, He has already been stripped off the title by the Olubadan.”
Ibrahim therefore called on Hausas in the state to be obedient, honest, and dedicated to the course of Ibadanland in particular and state in general.
