The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State, Femi Haruna, has charged the 159 newly-promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) in the Command on maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity as they take on a new role.
CP Haruna gave the charge on Monday during the decoration of the police officers, which was held at the command headquarters at Eleyele, Ibadan.

Congratulating the officers, the police commissioner noted their courage, professional excellence, and steadfast dedication to duty.
He highlighted the significance of an organised reward system within the police force, which he said is aimed at motivating officers to consistently pursue excellence in their service to the society.
CP Haruna stated: “The promotion you have received today signifies not only the recognition of your hard work and commitment, but also serves as a reminder to uphold these values in your ongoing career as law enforcement officers.
“We expect you to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and integrity as you assume this new role.”
The police boss said that the promotion was to bolster the operational effectiveness and morale within the state police command, an initiative that is in accordance with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Dr Kayode Egbetokun.
The newly-promoted officers were decorated by CP Haruna, assisted by members of the Command’s management team and family members.
