The Joint Conference of the Women’s Organisations of Oyo Diocese of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has honoured one of Nigeria’s distinguished media personalities, Mr Folu Olamiti, a Fellow of the Nigeria Guild of Editors.

The award took place on Sunday, October 20, at Saint James Centenary Church, Owode in Oyo town during the organisation’s thanksgiving service.

The award was given to Mr Olamiti in recognition of his contributions to the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), the media and society at large.

Olamiti appreciated the women’s organisation for the honour bestowed on him.

“I sincerely want to appreciate the women in Oyo Anglican Diocese for the honour conferred on me today. As a matter of fact, I did not expect this award, it came to me as a surprise,” he said.
