Oyo State Voluntary Campaigners (OSVC) has chided the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Ayodele, for his views on the governorship ambition of the Minister for Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, in 2027.
The group in a statement on Monday said Primate Ayodele’s prophecies in which he held that Adelabu could not win the governorship in Oyo State in 2027 were “a gamble which should be ignored.”
OSVC in the statement signed by Dr. Paul Atiba, claimed that Primate Ayodele’s prophecies “from evidences we have, are mostly targetting politicians and are based on selfish interest, and this one against the interest of Adebayo Adelabu’s 2027 governorship ambition in Oyo State is not an exception.”
The group noted that Primate Ayodele said: “In Oyo, there’s growing unrest. Muslims are preparing for a political showdown. The people of Oke-Ogun will challenge Ibadan’s dominance. Adebayo Adelabu cannot become governor.”
Reacting to this assertion, OSVC said: “Most prophecies of the cleric are always targeting people in positions of authority so that he can tactically attract them. We have also seen that he has become well-known to the politicians, hence the need for people to ignore him.
“Remember that he had earlier prophesied that there were only three people who can challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Nigerians, particularly the people of Oyo State should not take him serious.”
According to the group, Primate Ayodele’s brand of the Gospel usually tilted to the corridors of blackmail, whereas it was expected that sinners should be at liberty to seek God’s face according to Scripture, which it said the Primate did not encourage with his prophecies.
The group warned that its members might be forced to report Primate Ayodele to relevant authorities in the country, saying they would take the step “if he continues with his blackmail which he called prophecy,” and claimed that “there are overwhelming evidences of his blackmail activities and same will be published.”
On the governorship ambition of Adebayo Adelabu, the group said, “God is not man and definitely Primate Ayodele will never be his face in choosing his anointed for Oyo State.
“Minister Adebayo Adelabu Penkelemesi remains an anointed candidate in God’s eye and blackmailers either in God’s vineyard or in the larger society will never be able to stop the divine prophecy on the ambition of Adelabu Penkelemesi.”
They expressed the belief that “come 2027, the voice of the people will definitely be the voice of God,” saying “we believe that the mandate God has given to Adelabu in 2027 is sacrosanct and no prophecy can change it.”Oyo State Voluntary Campaigners (OSVC) has chided the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Ayodele, for his views on the governorship ambition of the Minister for Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, in 2027.
