Oyedepo, Gowon, Obey, KSA, others for Ayewa’s 70th birthday

Though he had celebrated his 70th birthday in a low-key a few months back, the veteran gospel musician-turned-cleric, Pastor Joseph Adelakun, popularly known as Ayewa, would have a swell birthday celebration on September 21 as family, committee of friends and fans will celebrate him with a classy siore.

  R gathered that the event would be attended by notable clerics and top government officials in the country, including Bishop David Oyedepo; Pastor Abraham Akinosun; Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye; former head of state, General Yakubu Gowon; Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu; cleric-turned-philanthropist, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi; music icons, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi and King Sunny Ade (KSA); Special Adviser to the President, Femi Adesina; former wife of Kwara State governor, Mrs Omolewa Ahmed.

  According to the secretary of the Ayewa birthday planning committee, Pastor Tunji Oladapo, at a press conference in Lagos, a week-long event has been planned to celebrate the music icon, which includes an open-air crusade at the Christ Apostolic Church, Mercy-Land, Akute, Ogun State from September 16 to 18, while a seven-hour praise concert would hold on September 19 at the same venue.

Oladapo noted that the grand finale and thanksgiving service of the birthday celebration would hold on September 21 at 10 Degree Events Centre, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.

Other dignitaries include: Immediate past Foursquare General Overseer, Reverend Felix Meduoye; Dr Erastus Akingbola; Oba Adedapo Tejuoso; Mama Bola Are; Yinka Ayefele; Tope Alabi; Esther Igbekele and Bukola Akinade, among others.

R also gathered that the grand finale would also witness a book launch and special album launch of the celebrant.
