Overstaying visa may result in lifetime ban, US warns Nigerians

The United States Embassy has issued a stern warning to visa holders, emphasising the severe consequences of overstaying their visas.

In a post on X, the embassy cautioned that individuals who exceed their authorized stay could face a permanent ban from entering the U.S.

“If you overstay your U.S. visa, you could face a permanent ban on traveling to the United States.

“Consular officers have full access to your immigration history and will know about past violations. There is no such thing as an ‘honest mistake,'” the post read.
