NATIONAL Chairman of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Chief Olu Falae, on Wednesday washed his hands and that of the party off the alliance consummated between the party’s governorship candidate in the ongoing Osun State election, Senator Iyiola Omisore and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in the state, declaring that he as the SDP chairman was never consulted before such decision was taken.
Chief Falae said this in an exclusive interview he granted the Nigerian Tribune, saying it was wrong for Omisore to have said he took the decision to work for the APC in the re-run poll holding on Thursday in seven (7) poling units across the state, in consultation with his party (SDP).

“I was not consulted, and I was not a party to the decision. He said he took the decision to work with APC in consultation with his party (SDP). But I am the chairman of the party, he did not consult me about it and, therefore, am not a party to it. That’s all I am trying to say,” Falae said.
The party chairman, who refused to react to further questions, however, said that SDP would issue a statement on the development, but did not give any date.
“I think the party will issue a statement later,” the boss said.
