Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has advised officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deploy the front camera on the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) whenever the primary camera fails to function during the ongoing Osun State governorship election.
Davido made the appeal on Saturday through a post on his X account while voting was taking place across the state.

“If your BVAS camera is not working, please tell the officials to use front camera. It is very active and fast!,” he stated.
The advice followed reports from some polling units where technical issues were said to have affected the operation of BVAS devices.
INEC uses the BVAS for voter accreditation through fingerprint and facial verification, alongside other functions connected to the electoral process.
The singer has remained vocal on matters relating to the Osun governorship election in recent days. He had earlier called on local and international observers to pay close attention to the conduct of the poll.
