The Senator representing Osun West senatorial district, Enginee Adelere Oriolowo, has described the leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and former governor of Osun State, Chief Adebisi Akande as the big tower between the old and the new Nigeria.
Senator Oriolowo made this known in a release he personally signed, which was made available to Saturday Tribune, on Friday.
While eulogising Chief Akande as he clocked 81 on Thursday, the senator said: “Chief Akande is a worthy mentor to the new generation as well as the strength and hope of the country.
“In a nation where his contemporaries have retired from public service, Chief Akande still burns the midnight oil to brainstorm on the future of Nigeria, loaded and empowered with high mental acumen and disarming smile.
“As progressives, we are all products of your enduring service and achievements and as you turn 81, I pray that Allah will continue to grant you the will and ability to continue with the good works you have been doing for the entire humanity.”
