The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has hailed the outcome of the Osun State local government elections held on Saturday, in which the PDP won all contested seats.
The forum described the landslide victory as a resounding endorsement of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s leadership and developmental strides across the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by its Director General, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, the PDP Governors’ Forum, led by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, congratulated Adeleke and the people of Osun on the successful conduct of the elections.
The forum commended the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) for ensuring the integrity of the electoral process and reaffirmed that power resides with the people, who have once again demonstrated their support for the PDP’s governance in the state.

According to the forum, the outcome of the election was more than just a political victory, it was a referendum on Governor Adeleke’s leadership and the trust the people have in his administration.
“The Forum applauds the PDP for its victorious outing at the polls. It is a well-deserved victory after a good fight, both for Governor Adeleke, the PDP, Osun State, democracy, and the indisputability of good stewardship in public service,” the statement read.
The forum highlighted the massive transformation projects, capacity development initiatives, and grassroots empowerment programs undertaken by Adeleke’s administration, particularly for youths and women.
It expressed confidence that the newly elected local government chairmen and councillors would align with the governor’s vision for development and deliver the dividends of democracy to their respective communities.
While celebrating the PDP’s victory, the forum urged the elected local government officials to be magnanimous in victory and work towards fostering peace and unity in Osun State.
“Governor Adeleke must ensure that the newly elected chairmen and councillors entrench a culture of tolerance and peace to consolidate the unity that the people of Osun State currently enjoy,” the statement added.
The PDP Governors’ Forum also praised the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) for conducting a credible, transparent, and fair election.
“We commend OSIEC for ensuring that the integrity of the electoral process was upheld. By today’s wrap-up of activities, it stands proven that the voice of the people has been honored,” the forum stated.
It also expressed appreciation to the people of Osun State for their overwhelming support for the PDP, calling their massive turnout at the polls a demonstration of true democracy.
“This is democracy in action. The people have taken their destinies into their hands by reaffirming their trust in our great party,” the statement concluded.
The forum urged PDP leaders and supporters across the country to remain steadfast in upholding the principles of democracy, fairness, and good governance, noting that Osun’s election outcome serves as a testament to the PDP’s popularity and credibility in delivering impactful leadership.
