Osun lawmaker empowers 500 constituents

In a bid to promote economic growth, Lawmaker representing Ayedaade state constituency in Osun state house of assembly, Honourable Folorunsho Ogundare has empowered about 500 constituents with cash gifts  and trade tools to enhance their livelihood and support economic growth.

The initiative which was held in two phases was launched on Tuesday, August 12th, at Orile-owu and Araromi-owu, where over 100 beneficiaries received trade tools  and cash gifts.

While the second phase was held respectively on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, at Odeomu and Gbongan,  where  over 300 beneficiaries also benefited from the initiative.

Speaking at the event, the lawmaker noted that  the initiative is aimed at augmenting the economic prospects of his constituents in a move to compliment  the Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke’s administration.

He said the initiative is designed to bolster existing businesses and stimulate new entrepreneurial venture.

The lawmaker stressed the need for the beneficiaries to make prudent utilization of the resources provided, stressing that judicious management of the cash and materials given to the them  would be crucial in stimulating economic growth and development in the constituency and Osun State at large.

According to  him , the primary objective of the  initiative is to fortify the financial capabilities of his constituents, with a  focus on supporting their business endeavors and contributing to the economic development of the constituency.

While reaffirming his commitment towards performing his legislative duties with diligence and dedication.

He assured constituents who are  yet to benefit from the program that more initiatives are forthcoming .

“This initiative, which encompasses the distribution of cash and materials, is designed to bolster existing businesses and stimulate new entrepreneurial ventures, thereby enhancing the overall quality of life and economic vitality of the region.

“By providing tangible support to entrepreneurs and small business owners, the program seeks to foster a culture of self-sufficiency and economic resilience”.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, one of the Beneficiaries of the initiative, Fausatu Oyebamiji ,  appreciate the lawmaker for the gesture.
