A member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewumi Adeyemi, popularly known as Irekandu, has called for the arrest of the perpetrators responsible for the killing of 15 soldiers in Okuama, Ughelli South Local Government Area, and Okolaba, Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to a report by Channels Television on Saturday, the bodies of the 15 soldiers were recovered by soldiers of the Joint Task Force in the Okuama community.

Obokun State Constituency in a statement personally signed by him on Sunday condemned the attack.
His words “I stand in unwavering solidarity with the families and loved ones of the courageous soldiers who were tragically lost in Delta State.”

Adeyemi continued, “Their indomitable spirit and sacrifice in the service of our nation will forever remain a beacon of courage. Let us unite in unequivocally condemning such senseless violence and fervently advocating for swift justice.
The Osun lawmaker, however, called for the arrest of the culprit while condoled with the family of the slain soldiers.
“My deepest and most sincere condolences extend to all those touched by this profound and irreplaceable loss.”
