Osun govt presents Staff of Office to Oba Adebayo Faforiji

Osun State Government has presented a staff of office and instrument of appointment to Oba Adebayo Faforiji as a recognised monarch of Alamuye of Amuye Faforiji in the state.

Speaking at the occasion graced by the former governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, described the choice of Oba Adebayo Faforiji as the Alamuye of Amuye Faforiji as a blessing for the entire people of the town.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, who was represented by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, noted that Oba Adebayo Faforiji is an experienced person who has a passion for development.

He called on the people of Amuye Faforiji to support his vision to develop the town.

The Governor also assured the people of Amuye Faforiji that the present administration will not forget them in the dispensation of democratic dividends.

In his own remark, the Alamuye of Amuye Faforiji, Oba Adebayo Faforiji, appreciated the state government for presenting him with the staff of office and instrument of appointment as a recognised monarch.

Oba Faforiji, however, assured the state government that the development of his town and its entire population would be paramount to him.

Appreciating the various achievements recorded by Governor Ademola Adeleke in the last year, the Alamuye of Amuye Faforiji appealed to the government to remember his town and make it a haven in terms of developmental projects.

In an interview with the state’s former governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the former governor described Oba Faforiji as a long-expected messiah of the town and affirmed that he would add immeasurable values to the town.

Also present at the occasion was the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Dosu Babatunde.
