Osun State Government and the Organised Labour in the State have finally agreed on N75,000 as the new minimum wage in the State.
The spokesperson to the governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, confirmed the development and pledged to make a comprehensive report of the details available later.
Meanwhile, a statement credited to the Osun NLC, TUC, and JNC Information Bureau stated that “The Organised Labour in Osun State and the Government after exhaustive deliberations have decided on N75,000.00 as the new minimum wage in Osun State.”
The statement stressed, “This step follows months of negotiations between the Osun State Government and Organized Labour, after the Federal Government had, in July 2024, approved a new minimum wage of N70,000.”
