OSUN State Government has appealed to those blessed in the society to continue to support its efforts at making the state better for the generality of its people.
The state Commissioner for Education, Honourable Sunday Eluwole, said this had become imperative in view of the fact that the tasks before the government were enormous to be handled by it alone.
Eluwole, who was represented by the Zonal Inspector of Education, Venerable Idowu Olalekan Jokotola, made this known at the formal handing over of a Physics/Chemistry Laboratory to Laro Grammar School,Osogbo, undertaken by SOA Education Foundation.
The foundation which is the brainchild of Mr Kayode Yinka Adeyemo, a United States of America based indigene of the state who graduated from Laro Grammar School in 1989, saw to the completion of the project for the benefit of the school.
“Osun Government really appreciates this wonderful gesture. Mr Kayode Adeyemo through his foundation, decided to give back to the society, most especially, his alma mater. It’s commendable. He is not a politician but just decided to give back to where he came from” noted the commissioner.
Earlier, the donor ‘s brother, Mr Caleb Adeyemo who represented the donor and the Adeyemo family, said his brother was propelled by the need to give back to the society as a way of contributing his own quota.
“The completion and the formal handing over of this beautiful Physics/Chemistry Laboratory to Laro Grammar School, Osogbo, as undertaken by my brother, is gladdening. It’s a token of saying thank you for the moulding opportunity the school offered. Money cannot buy this. So this is just to join hands with the government and other stakeholders in enhancing knowledge in the area of sciences” said Caleb Adeyemo.
While assuring that he would not relent in his efforts at further doing whatever would be good for the state and its people, he implored Nigerians with means to always do all they could, to lift the sagging spirit of the populace, especially the less privileged.

Those present and commended the initiative include the Principal of the school, Mrs FM Ojewande and her team, Tutor-General/Executive Secretary, Mrs E.A Mosobalaje, the PTA chairman, Mr Tajudeen Owoeye and the immediate past principal of the school, Mr Ganiyu Olasupo.
