…harps on good governance
A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Former National Director of Administration for the party, Prof. Alaba Adeyemi Adediwura, on Thursday, charged all the party’s chairmen and councillors who returned to local government secretariats in Osun state to uphold the values of the APC and exemplify the highest standards of conducts while discharging their duties.
An outstanding professor of note from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in a congratulatory message, said, “Let your actions resonate with the trust that has been placed in you and let your governance be characterized by empathy and responsiveness.
“Your return to office is a testament to the belief that the people of Osun have in your capability to lead and serve.
“I urge you to prioritize transparency, accountability, and community engagement in all your dealings. The citizens of Osun are counting on you to be their voice, to implement policies that reflect their needs, and to create an environment where progress and development thrive. Your leadership should focus on uplifting the marginalized, fostering inclusive growth, and addressing the myriad challenges that our communities face.
“With this new opportunity comes great responsibility, a responsibility not only to fulfil your duties but to elevate the standards of service expected from your offices. You have been entrusted with the hopes and aspirations of our people, and it is now incumbent upon you to justify their confidence.
“Engage with the grassroots, listen to their concerns, and work collaboratively to implement creative solutions that can drive your respective local developments.
“In this new chapter, let us not lose sight of the collective vision that unites us—an Osun State that thrives on peace, prosperity, and progress. Together, we can build a future that not only reflects the aspirations of our party but also the dreams of every Osun citizen.
“It is with immense joy and overwhelming pride that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you all on the successful conclusion of the legal battles that have restored our dedicated local government chairmen and their diligent councillors to their rightful positions.
“This significant victory is not just a personal achievement for the reinstated officials, but a monumental triumph for the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the people of Osun State.

He, however, likened their victory to a stepping stone towards greater accomplishments for the APC and the state.
