GOVERNOR Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has submitted the reports of the last Saturday’s governorship primary of Peoples Democratic Party held in Osun State to the national chairman of the main opposition party, Prince Uche Secondus in Abuja
This was contained in a press statement, signed by the governor Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr Francis Ottah Agbo which was forwarded to the TribuneOnline in Osogbo.

According to the statement, “the chairman of the Osun State PDP gubernatorial election and Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon Henry Seriake Dickson has submitted the reports of the exercise to the national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus. The election which was held in Osogbo, Osun State capital returned Senator Ademola Adeleke as the gubernatorial candidate for September 22 governorship election”.
The statement reads thus “Dickson said the primary election was the most keenly contested primary he has ever seen or heard of, and expressed confidence that if all the PDP leaders and stakeholders bury their difference and work together, the PDP will trounce the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)”.

It noted that “the Governor, flanked by the former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu, former Minister of Water Resources, Mrs Serah Ochekpe and other members of the committee submitted the report to the national chairman at the PDP national secretariat on Monday, July 23”.
“While receiving the report, Secondus commended Governor Dickson and his team for a transparent conduct of the Osun State primary election. He said the PDP under his watch will continue to expand the frontiers of internal democracy and assure all aspirants of a level playing field in all congresses”, the statement concluded.
