The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) has approved the appointment of 19 new Judges for the National Industrial Court of Nigeria.
A statement by the Director of Information of the National Judicial Council (NJC), Soji Oye said the appointment of the Judges by the Acting President followed the recommendation of the NJC to the effect.
The newly appointed Judges, according to the statement are, Targema John Iorngee, from Benue State, Namtari Mahmood Abba, Adamawa State, Nweneka Gerald Ikechi, Rivers State and Kado Sanusi, from Katsina State.
Others are, Adeniyi Sinmisola Oluyinka, Ogun State, Abiola Adunola Adewemimo, Osun, Opeloye Ogunbowale A, Lagos, Essien Isaac Jeremiah, Akwa-Ibom, Elizabeth Ama Oji, Â Ebonyi and Arowosegbe Olukayode Ojo from Ondo State.
Other Judges appointed by the Vice President are, Ogbuanya Nelson S. Chukwudi from Enugu State, Bashir Zaynab Mohammed, Niger State, Galadima Ibrahim Suleiman , Nasarawa State, Bassi Paul Ahmed, Borno, Danjidda Salisu Hamisu, Kano, Hamman Idi Polycarp, Taraba, Damulak Kiyersohot Dashe, Plateau, Alkali Bashar Attahiru, Sokoto State and Mustapha Tijjani, from Jigawa State.
The NJC spokesman said in the statement that the newly appointed Judges will be sworn-in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) and Chairman of the NJC, Justice Walter Onnoghen on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
