Filmmaker Sean Baker emerged as the evening’s biggest winner, securing four Oscars for his film Anora, which claimed Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing.
The film’s lead actress, Mikey Madison, also won Best Actress, bringing Anora’s total to five awards.

Adrien Brody took home the Best Actor award for his performance in The Brutalist, while Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain) and Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez) won in the Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories, respectively. Emilia Pérez also won Best Original Song for “El Mal.”
Other films that secured multiple wins included The Brutalist, which also won Best Cinematography and Best Original Score; Dune: Part Two (Best Sound and Best Visual Effects); and Wicked (Best Costume Design and Best Production Design).
The night was marked by historic moments, including Paul Tazewell becoming the first Black man to win in the Costume Design category for Wicked. The Oscars celebrated a diverse range of films and talents, making the 97th edition a night to remember.
