The Executive Chairman of Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, known as the Ondo SUBEB boss, has hailed the decision of the state governor to appoint seasoned educationists to the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).

Olabimtan, the Ondo SUBEB boss, stated this in a statement signed by him, saying the recent appointment reflects Aiyedatiwa administration’s broader policy commitment to strengthening education in Ondo.

Olabimtan maintained that the move aligns with the state government’s determination to improve teaching standards, enhance teachers’ welfare, and ensure effective service delivery across secondary schools.

He explained that the new TESCOM board, led by Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwadaisi Oke, comprises experienced administrators and retired school leaders whose expertise will help drive reforms in the education sector.

Olabimtan described all the newly appointed members of the board as round pegs in round holes, adding that they complement his role as Ondo SUBEB boss.

He said, “It gladdens my heart to see them saddled with the responsibility of leading TESCOM. Yours is a well-deserved appointment, and I am confident in your ability to use this position for the wellbeing of our people.”

“This appointment is not just about filling positions; it is about building a stronger foundation for quality education in Ondo, a goal shared by the Ondo SUBEB boss.

“Posterity will forever remember you as a governor who exhibits great passion for education by appointing seasoned and experienced educationists as board members of Ondo State TESCOM”.

Olabimtan emphasized that the appointments are expected to advance the governor’s ‘Our-Ease’ agenda, particularly in addressing teacher deployment, professional development, and student performance outcomes.

He urged the new TESCOM members to justify the confidence reposed in them, stressing that their role would be pivotal in implementing education policies that shape the future of the state.
