Ondo Police nab suspected lover boy who killed eight family members

Detectives from Ondo State police Command have arrested the suspected lover boy, Deji Adenuga,  who set the family house of his girlfriend on fire, killing eight members of the family.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Femi Joseph, who confirmed this on Monday said the suspect was arrested in a hideout around Ayeka, Igbodigo, in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.

He said the suspect was arrested around the community after a too off from member of the community and said the suspect had been interrogated by the police.

Adenuga who was an ex convict was said to have set eight members of his girlfriend ablaze in the early hour of last Tuesday following the refusal of the last to continue with the relationship

Five members of the family were said to have died on Tuesday morning while three others died on Wednesday at the Trauma Center, in Ondo town.

It was gathered that the lady, Titi Saanumi, who is the only survivor is still lying critically injured at the hospital and had been in coma since the incident.

Adenuga was said to have spent some eight years in the prison before regaining his freedom some few months ago, while the discovery of his past was responsible for the lady’s decision to dump Adenuga, who threatened to kill the girl and her family members

Adenuga, however carried out his threat by setting the family house on fire, killing eight members of the family.
