Ondo communities commend mining company’s operations

The Leege, Ogunlepa, and Bature communities in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, have commended a mining company in the area, Ade Olap Global Resources, for its peaceful mining activities in the local government, saying the company had been law abiding in the area.

This is just as the communities stressed the need for mining companies and host communities to establish mutual relationship and conducive environment for the socio-economic development of host communities.

Speaking on the activities of the mining company, a community leader, and brother to the Oloja of Leege, Mr. Olanrewaju Sekoni, a community leader and brother to the Oloja of Leege, dismissed the misinformation about the company’s activities.

He said the mining company has established mutual relationship with the company and the people living in the communities and contributed to the development of the area.

Sekoni assured that the company’s operations have been certified by relevant authorities, and urged the public, particularly community members, to remain calm.

He said “All the company’s operations in our communities are known to and approved by the concerned authorities.

“Ade Olap Global Resources possesses all necessary documents to carry out their activities.”

Sekoni emphasized that mineral resource mining regulations fall under the Federal Ministry of Mining’s jurisdiction.

“The company has complied with all regulatory requirements, and we appreciate their contributions to our communities,” Sekoni added.

The endorsement from the communities highlights Ade Olap Global Resources’ commitment to responsible and transparent mining practices.

There have been insinuations and misinformation about the company’s activities, but the community leaders said the activities of the miners have been peaceful.
