The Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Ondo State, Honourable Idowu Ajanaku, has lauded the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for its sustained efforts in improving security across the state.
In an interview granted on the Adaba FM News programme, Ajanaku disclosed that the government recently provided utility vehicles and modern security equipment to the state’s security outfit, codenamed Amotekun Corps, to enhance high-level surveillance and flush out criminals, particularly kidnappers.
He cited the rescue of a kidnapped student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, as a clear testament to the government’s interventions. According to him, the swift action and coordination between Amotekun and other security agencies in the state underscore the impact of the interventions.
Ajanaku added that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to security has gone beyond the provision of logistics, as he has been actively engaging investors to take advantage of the prevailing peace in the state.
He noted that relative stability and safety have continued to attract business opportunities, which in turn create employment for the teeming youth population.
“The government’s investment in security is not just about safety, it is about creating the right environment for economic growth and job creation,” the commissioner said.
He assured residents that the administration would not relent in its efforts to protect lives and property, stressing that security remains a top priority in the government’s development agenda.
