As the political circuit in Ondo State gears up for the gubernatorial election coming up later in the year, an Owo-born politician and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Chief Bukola Adetula, has formally declared his intention to contest for the gubernatorial election scheduled to hold on October 10 in the state.
Adetula, who hails from the same town with the incumbent governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, made his intention to contest known over the weekend in Akure during a media parley.
He described his aspiration as one born out of a passion to bring real development to Ondo State through concerted industrialisation agenda aimed at massive job creation and economic emancipation for the benefits of the people of Ondo State, especially the youth and the vulnerable.

“Having consulted widely with elders and leaders from my immediate constituency, Owo, and my party leaders, members and supporters, and having received the nod from them to throw my hat into the ring with the assurances of their unflinching support all the way, I hereby officially declare my interest in the 2020 governorship race on the platform of APC.
“My dream and passion is to see Ondo State develop to an industrial hub of small, medium and large scale industries and to midwife the influx of huge investments and investors to the State. This will turn the economic fortunes of our State around and occasion a total departure from the conventional ways things are done,” Adetula said.
With his announcement, political analysts in the state have expressed the opinion that the political equation and permutation in the state are being redefined and the game is changing.
