Omotolani Enwereji, the Nigerian model making waves in Turkey

In a European country dominated by Muslims, it is perhaps a rare sight to have a Christian black model that graces covers and billboards. That, however, is the case with 23-year old model, Omotolani Victoria, who is being regarded as one of the leading beauty queens in the Eastern European country.

The Aba-born model whose fans continue to grow in thousands, especially on social media, R learnt, moved to the country at a young age but didn’t let the peculiarities of such a society suppress a dream she had always nursed.

According to the model, being the face of brands, gracing pages and making positive impact as a public figure are what she had aspired to be and it was a dream come true to have been featured on a billboard in what she described as a “unique environment.”

“It has been a long time coming, for sure and I am happy to be getting the recognitions and all now. Being a model in Turkey is as challenging as they come and you will agree with me that this is a unique society.

“My face on a billboard in the country is a sign that things are falling in place. This has always been my dream and I hope I can inspire others to be relentless,” Omotolani told R.

For the chocolate-skinned influencer, the latest feat means that there is more work to be done as she says that there are still more heights to reach in her career.
