Oubadan of Ibadanland Oba Owolabi Olakulehin has elevated six traditional chiefs in the Balogun lineage including Oba Tajudeen Ajibola and Senator Sharafadeen Alli representing Oyo South Senatorial district in the National Assembly.
Other affected High Chiefs are; Oba Kola wole Adegbola from Asipa Balogun to Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba John Olubunmi Isioye-Dada who was promoted from Ekerin Balogun to Osi Balogun of Ibadanland.
The list also includes; Oba Dauda Abiodun Azeez who was promoted from Ekarun Balogun to Asipa Balogun of Ibadanland and Senior Chief Akeem Bolaji Adewoyin who was promoted from Abese Balogun to Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland.
Their promotion is sequel to the death of the late Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Sen. Lekan Balogun and Oba Lateef Adebimpe.
The ceremony which had in attendance notable sons and daughters of Ibadanland was held at the new palace of Olubadan at Oke Aremo in Ibadan North local government area on Friday.
