Olu of Warri advocates preservation of historical ties with Aboh kingdom

The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has reaffirmed the commitment of the traditional institution to enhancing the well-being of the people and strengthening historical ties between the Warri and Aboh kingdoms.

He made the statement while receiving the traditional ruler of Aboh Kingdom, Dr Greg Oputa, Obi Oputa III and his council of chiefs at his palace in Warri.

The monarch emphasised that traditional rulers play a crucial role in maintaining peace and order by ensuring that their people uphold the laws of the land while also respecting elected leaders.

He stressed the importance of unity and collaboration in fostering development within their respective domains.

He further expressed his readiness to work closely with the Aboh Kingdom to drive progress, highlighting the long-standing historical ties between the two kingdoms and the need to preserve them for the benefit of future generations.

In his remarks, Obi Oputa III acknowledged the significant role traditional rulers play in shaping society and promoting development at the grassroots level.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Aboh Kingdom to providing leadership that would guide the people towards progress and unity.

The Aboh monarch also noted that the visit to the Olu of Warri was aimed at strengthening ties and exploring avenues for enhanced development.

He expressed gratitude for the reception accorded to him and his entourage.
