A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Oyo State, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoenia, has berated a former Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology in the Oyo State, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela and other aides to former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, for denying holding on to government vehicles even after their tenure expiration as alleged by the succeeding Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration
Olowofela, had last Friday, led other aides to the former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, to address a press conference where they alleged that Olopoenia, was behind the recent retrieval of vehicles taken away by aides to the former governor.
But the PDP chieftain in a statement released on Sunday, posited that he finds it extremely difficult to believe that a presumed well lettered professor such as Olowofela could reason in such manner.
The statement reads: “These people called shots in the state for eight uninterrupted years, yet they are not contented with all they have acquired during their course of being government officials.
“It is public knowledge that government vehicles in their possession are being recovered on a daily basis. I would only advise them to keep sealed mouth or we would be left with no other option than to further expose their escapades while in office.
“If it was possible, they would have carted away the government house. The level of their greed is actually unprecedented and mind blowing.
“I hereby challenge them to approach the police if they are actually sure of my involvement in the recovery of the said government vehicles.”
