Olafeso hails Appeal Court judgment on Osun election, congratulates Adeleke

The Immediate past Vice Chairman (South-West) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. Eddy Olafeso, has congratulated the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his victory at the Appeal Court.

Olafeso, in a statement personally signed by him, hailed the judiciary for standing up for the truth by declaring Adeleke winner for securing the majority of lawful votes during the July 16, 2022 governorship polls in Osun state.

The former Commissioner of Information in Ondo state said the ruling has helped to restore hope to Nigerians and commended the judges for putting truth and justice ahead of any other matter in carrying out their professional responsibilities.

Olafeso said he had always believed that the Judiciary would save Nigeria’s democracy and said “the ruling has shown that all hope is not lost about this country, as the judiciary continues to show really that it’s the last hope of the people,’’

“Today’s judgment has reinforced the hope of the opposition that there are still men and women on the bench who, in the face of rampage to destroy the Judiciary, can still stand firm and do the right thing.”

He urged Adeleke to continue giving priority to the welfare of the people of the state, and make Osun the pride and envy of other states in Nigeria.

Olafeso said “I am confident of your interest in developing the state and the giving priority to the welfare of the people, and I implore you to uphold that interest.

The people of Osun should expect great things to come to Osun State. This Governor is for the people, for the grassroots’.

I want the people of Osun to support him and Osun State will never again go backwards and I can assure you thay he will not disappoint the masses that stood by him
