A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief Henry Ofa, has declared that governor and PDP governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will, again, defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru in the coming governorship election.

He made the declaration during the official unveiling of the second edition of his book, “The Lasting Legacies of Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa,” held in Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state.

He called on Deltans to massively support and vote for Governor Okowa in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Ofa, a member of the state’s Post Primary Education Board, said the support for Okowa should be based on his “impeccable track record and unbeatable achievements that cut across all sectors and facets of Delta State.”

The former Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Commissioner added that he was convinced that Okowa will defeat Chief Ogboru, squarely at the poll.

“The administration of Senator Okowa has certainly done well, particularly when it comes to the religious implementation of the SMART Agenda.

“Several hundreds of roads have been constructed and rehabilitated. Thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities have been created for our teeming youth population.

“Our health model has been nationally and globally acknowledged as one of the best in Nigeria. Our education system has been revamped and standardized, our economy boosted beyond oil revenues and our environment has been well transformed for the good of all Deltans.

“Also worthy of note is the fact that all these and many other feats were recorded in a peaceful and genial environment made possible by the sustained peace and reconciliation initiatives of the Okowa government,” he noted.

Ofa explained that the essence of the book and its accompanying musical compilation was to provide accurate information on the activities of the Okowa government since May 2015, noting that the conversational style of the two information materials makes them reader/viewer friendly.

“Information, like the typical compost, will do a less good if it is not spread around”, explaining that this was why he decided to “shine the light of knowledge on the deeds of the Okowa government in order that the people may find the right way in the forthcoming general election.”

He urged to pick a copy and also take time to read through and reflect on the deeds of the Okowa government so that votes for Okowa will be garnered out of a conviction of genuine service delivery.

The book reviewer, Dr Peter Ogedegbe, averred that the publication was timely and apt as it provided adequate information needed to understand the workings of the current administration.

Meanwhile, Chief Ofa, on Friday, presented copies of the book, The Lasting Legacies of Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, to the publisher of the Vanguard Newspapers, Pa Sam Amuka in his home in Lagos.
