Ohanaeze youth to police: Treat Grace Okolie with caution

Published by

Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide has called for caution in the handling of Grace Okolie arrested by police as an Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) informant.

National Youth Leader of  Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Damian Okafor in a statement in Abakaliki, urged the police to charge her to court if found guilty she should be punished legally.

It demanded “that her fundamental human rights should be totally observed and respected while the trial lasts hence the need for absolute transparency in this dicey matter.

“That she should be charged to a court of competent jurisdiction to adduce the conspiracy allegations labelled against and if found wanting, she should be punished legally.

“That my office has set up a legal team headed by the National Legal adviser to challenge the process.

“That the planned protest by the Igbo Youth should as a matter of urgency be put to a halt.

“That the Nigerian Police should not be in a hurry to parade her even as the allegations labelled against her are still unverified.”
