But much more commendable is its strategy of educating, sensitising the people on its operation and the benefits of paying taxes.
As the state moves to decrease its dependence on federal allocation to about 10 per cent by increasing its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), it is also important for all residents of the state to support this drive thereby helping to bring about more dividends of democracy.
Facts show that the support of Ogun residents through payment of taxes is a major reason why the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administration has not owed workers’ salary while various infrastructural projects have not stopped despite the current economic challenges in the country. The state would be counting on more of such support.
