Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ijebu Ife Ward 1 in Ogun State have endorsed member representing Ijebu-North/Ijebu-East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Abdel-Majid Adekoya, for a third term in office.
Party members led by Alhaji Babatunde Animashaun at the ward meeting on Saturday said Adekoya’s endorsement was informed by his excellence in delivering the dividends of democracy to electorate in the constituency.
Motion for his endorsement was moved by Public Relations Officer of the party in Ijebu East local government, Mrs Omolayo Olusola Afolorunsho who is a former chairman of the ward.
The motion was seconded by Mr Ramoni Adejuwon before it was ratified by other party members through a voice vote.
Afolorunsho noted that the support for Adekoya was necessary because he has attracted a lot of developments in Ijebu Ife and also to the entire constituency.
The meeting was attended by Leader, Attacker Elites Group, Ijebu East, Zaddious Ahmed; Pioneer Chairman, PDP Ijebu East, Hon Jigan Taiwo Ademolu; Women Leader, Ijebu Ife ward 1, Mrs Jumoke Oloja and decampees from the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Mr Dada Adebambo.
