Gov Dapo Abiodun
RESIDENTS of border communities in Ogun State have been assured of better times in the next dispensation if the All Progressives Congress (APC) is re-elected into office.
This assurance was given by the party’s governorship candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, during his campaign at Isheri, Ojodu, Abiodun, Akute, Ajuwon, Ijoko and Agbado in Ifo Local Government area of the state, on Monday.
He promised that all infrastructural decay in the areas would be attended to when he gets to office as the successor of Governor Ibikunle Amosun, whose eight years tenure in office expires on May 28th.
Abiodun said his campaign tour had afforded him to move around the border areas and got him acquainted with some of the challenges confronting them.
He later met with the Alajuwon of Ajuwon, Oba Nurudeen Egunsola and council of Baales where he pointed out that the border areas had been long neglected.

“This campaign tour has given us the opportunity to move round these border communities and we have seen the level of their infrastructural decay.
” It is a clear indication that these places have been long neglected and the gap between them and the neighbouring Lagos State is too wide in terms of development.
“Despite these challenges, the acceptability of our party still remains very high. Hence, we will ensure we start to ameliorate these challenges immediately we get into the office.
Some of the challenges we have identified are lack of motorable roads; public schools; functioning health centres; recreational facilities and other basic amenities like pipe borne water.
“I am assuring them that all these deficiencies have been captured in our blueprint and they will begin to see a new dawn when we assume office,” he promised.
Oba Egunsola enjoined Abiodun not to forget his promises when he gets to office.
