Ogbomoso Recreation Club hails Olaoye’s enthronement as Soun of Ogbomoso

Ogbomoso Recreation Club (ORC) has hailed the decision of kingmakers in Ogbomoso by acting accordingly to install Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye as the new Soun of Ogbomoso.

In a statement signed by the President of the club, Dr Akin Oladeji-Johnbrown, a copy of which was made available to Tribune online on Sunday, Ogbomoso Recreation Club commended the kingmakers for threading the path of due process in the installation of the new traditional ruler of Ogbomosoland.

The statement reads in parts, “We hereby congratulate the Ogbomoso sons and daughters worldwide for this milestone development in Ogbomosoland.

“ORC prays that the tenure of Kabiyesi will foster peace, unity, and almighty God will grant him the strength and wisdom to make his reign successful for the benefit of not only the people of Ogbomosoland but for the entire Oyo State and Nigeria at large.”

Ogbomoso Recreation Club, however, called on sons and daughters of the town to rally around the new traditional ruler in order to take Ogbomoso to an enviable height while pleading with all to embrace peace and work together with the new kabiyesi in the best interest of Ogbomosoland.
