SENATE President Bukola Saraki on Monday hinted of his readiness to honour the invitation by the police for questioning over the Offa bank robberies on April 5.
The police on Sunday, at a press conference, said the suspects arrested in connection with the bank robbery in Offa have confessed to their alleged link with the Senate president and Governor Abdulfattah Ahmed of Kwara State.
Senator Saraki, in his immediate reaction on Sunday, while denying any link with the suspects, but an attempt by the police to tarnish his image and frame him up, promised to honour police invitation as soon as he was formally invited.
However, on Monday, he disclosed on his twitter handle @bukolasaraki, that he had informed his Aide De Camp to pick the letter of invitation, for him to honour the invitation for questioning on the matter.
“I have just informed my ADC to get the letter of invitation from @PoliceNG in respect of the allegations raised yesterday — so that I can immediately honour the alleged invitation”, he said.
