The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, is currently in a meeting with political party chairmen at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
This meeting is part of INEC’s stakeholder engagement in preparation for the upcoming governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo States.
During this gathering, the INEC chairman will provide political parties with an overview of the preparations and the specific roles that political parties will play in the forthcoming elections.
It also serves as an opportunity for political parties to express their concerns and observations to the INEC chairman in advance of the elections.
Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chairman, stated, “We value the input of political parties in the electoral process, and this meeting is an essential part of our preparations.
We are here to address any concerns or questions you may have and ensure a smooth electoral process.”
