The Bini Royal Father, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku-Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare II, has eulogized the late Dr Samuel Ogbemudia, saying his the legacy and vacuum created by the late statesman would remain indelible in the history of Edo State in particular and the country at large.
Omo N’Oba showered the praises on the late two time governor of the defunct Bendel State at the Benin residence of the diseased through a delegation made up of Benin Palace top chiefs on a condolence visit to the family.
Oba Ewuare N’Ogidigan II noted that Dr Ogbemudia’s legacy of nationalistic approach towards political leadership would be memorable in the heart of many in Bini Kingdom and the nation at large
Represented by Chief Stanley Obamwonyi, the Esere of Benin kingdom, who led others palace chiefs, the Royal father stressed that he regretted not seeing the late general and administrator after reading an astonishing coronation message he published in the newspapers in which the late Ogbemudia stunningly stated how he foresaw the reincarnation of Oba Ewuare the Great in him as far back when he (oba Ewuare) was a child.
However, local officials maintained they were in control and did not require federal intervention.
