A 36-year-old woman, identified as Mrs. Abiola died after receiving a buttock enlargement injection at an undisclosed hospital in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident.
The nurse who administered the injection has been arrested by the police.
The woman’s driver, who took her to the hospital for the operation, reported the incident to the police after waiting for her in vain and later finding out that she had been rushed to another hospital.
Superintendent of Police Hundeyin stated that the woman became unconscious and was rushed to another hospital in Lekki Phase 1, where she was pronounced dead.
The police visited the scene and the hospital, where the woman’s body was inspected and photographed.
The body was taken to a public morgue for autopsy, and the nurse has been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
