Balogun, who gave the figure on Wednesday while monitoring the examination in some schools in Lagos, said the purpose was to ensure a conducive environment for the students and supervisors.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that candidates in the third and final year of their senior secondary education are presently writing the 2017 NECO June/July Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
Balogun said there had been no negative issues against students and his personnel in all the schools he had visited so far.
“The officers are to monitor the activities in the examination halls and ensure no mercenary is allowed into the hall.
“They are to give report to the command at the end of the exercise, and we shall submit same to zonal Assistant Commandant General who will in turn submit to the Commandant General.
“The major thing is for the examination to be conducted in a conducive atmosphere without any hitches,” he said.
NAN reports that some of the schools visited include Babs Fafunwa Millennium Senior Grammar School, Ojodu and Oke-Ira Senior Grammar School, Ojodu.
The Principals of the schools, Mrs Victoria Kolawole and Mrs Wusilat Saromi respectively, conducted the commandant round the examination halls.
