In a recent development, the 18th Western Zonal Accountants Conference received further support as the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) paid an official visit to Dr. Micheal Adaralewa, the State Commandant, at the Command Headquarters in Ibadan. During the visit, Dr. Adaralewa expressed gratitude for the significant role played by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in the nation’s development. He acknowledged Chartered Accountants as the conscience of the nation and assured that the Command would deploy an ample number of personnel to ensure the security of conference delegates.
The Conference Chairman, Mr. Biodun Adedeji, took the opportunity to update the host on the preparations for the upcoming Western Zonal Conference. Stressing the importance of full participation from all stakeholders, he emphasized that Ibadan might not host similar conferences for the next two decades. Mr. Adedeji extended his appreciation to the officers and personnel of the Command for the warm reception extended to the conference team.
Dr. Temitope Babajide, the Conference Director, and Mrs. Funmi Omisore, the Deputy Conference Secretary, presented gifts to the State Commandant as a token of appreciation. In a reciprocal gesture, the State Commandant also presented a gift to Mr. Adedeji on behalf of the Command, fostering a spirit of mutual appreciation and collaboration.
