The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has unveiled a new corporate tagline, “Inspiring Trust, Sustaining Growth,” as part of efforts to strengthen its relationship with taxpayers and support the country’s revenue mobilisation drive.
The tagline was unveiled by the Executive Chairman of the NRS, Zacch Adedeji, alongside members of the Service’s management team on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
The NRS said the tagline followed weeks of deliberation aimed at developing words that accurately reflect the service’s commitment to quality service delivery under Adedeji’s leadership.
According to the Service, the new identity is built around the connection between public trust, effective revenue collection and sustainable economic growth.
“‘Inspiring Trust, Sustaining Growth’ speaks to a simple but powerful idea: trust between the Service and the public is the foundation of effective revenue collection and that revenue in turn, drives Nigeria’s sustained growth,” the NRS said.
The service described the tagline as both a promise to taxpayers and a guiding principle for its operations.
The unveiling comes as the Federal Government intensifies efforts to improve domestic revenue mobilisation and reduce dependence on volatile oil revenues.

The NRS has assumed a central role in the implementation of Nigeria’s tax reform programme, with the government seeking to expand the tax base, improve compliance, simplify tax administration and strengthen the efficiency of revenue collection.
The emphasis on trust is particularly significant as tax authorities seek to encourage voluntary compliance among individuals and businesses.
For taxpayers, improved service delivery, transparency and predictable administration are critical to building confidence in the tax system, while for government, stronger compliance could provide additional resources for financing infrastructure and public services.
The NRS said the new tagline would guide how it engages with every taxpayer, reinforcing its commitment to service and accountability.
The development also signals a shift towards positioning revenue administration not merely as a collection function but as an important component of Nigeria’s broader economic growth strategy.
Under the new identity, the service is expected to place greater emphasis on building constructive relationships with taxpayers while sustaining revenue collection needed to support government expenditure and economic development.
