Noltec Engineering, Johnson Controls Hitachi unveil advanced HVAC solutions in Nigeria

In a strategic partnership aimed at revolutionising HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) solutions in Nigeria, Noltec Engineering and Technical Services Limited, in collaboration with Johnson Controls Hitachi, introduced cutting-edge Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems tailored for industrial and commercial applications. 

The unveiling ceremony held in Lagos showcased a range of innovative products designed to address Nigeria’s unique climate and energy needs.

Mr Akinyinka Akinnola, the Managing Director of Noltec Engineering, emphasised the significance of this collaboration, stating that Noltec is now the official partner for Hitachi’s air conditioning solutions in Nigeria. 

He underscored Noltec’s commitment to introducing advanced technologies across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors in the country.

According to Akinnola, “Our recent partnership with Hitachi underscores our commitment to introducing advanced air conditioning technologies across Nigeria.”

The event, attended by architects, engineers, developers, consultants, and other industry stakeholders, featured the unveiling of Hitachi’s state-of-the-art air conditioning systems alongside collaborative offerings from other partners of Noltec Engineering. 

Among these partners was Era, a Russian industrial equipment manufacturer specializing in ventilation systems, represented by Export Manager Igor Makarov and Sanda’s cooling and dehumidifying Solutions. 

Speaking about Era’s ventilation systems, Makarov highlighted their innovative features designed to improve indoor air quality and environmental comfort for consumers in Nigeria.

During the unveiling, Mr. Ahmed El Dessouki, the Regional Sales Director for Johnson Controls Hitachi Middle East and Africa, elaborated on the technical superiority of the newly introduced VRF systems. 

He introduced the groundbreaking “Air 365” modular VRF system, emphasizing its capability to connect side discharge VRF units into a cohesive system ranging from 8 to 72 horsepower. 

Mr Dessouki also introduced the “365 Max” series, featuring VRF systems with capacities of up to 212 horsepower, boasting industry-leading energy efficiency ratios and competitive pricing strategies to enhance market penetration.

In his remark, Dessouki highlighted the strategic significance of the partnership with Noltec Engineering, aiming to enhance market reach and provide localized support to customers across Nigeria.

He emphasised the collaborative effort between Johnson Controls Hitachi and Noltec Engineering in driving growth and offering unparalleled HVAC solutions in the region.

Mr Akinnola also addressed challenges related to currency exchange rates and the impact on capital goods procurement, stating that despite economic fluctuations, Noltec remains adaptable and focused on delivering quality solutions to clients. 

He stressed the importance of accessible financing options for consumers, stating that lower interest rates and extended payment terms can stimulate demand for essential products and services like air conditioning in Nigeria’s evolving economy.

The launch event concluded with an optimistic outlook on the future of engineering solutions in Nigeria, positioning Noltec Engineering as a key player driving innovation and sustainability in the HVAC sector.

The collaboration between Noltec Engineering, Johnson Controls Hitachi, and other partners underscores a collective effort to meet the growing demand for high-performance HVAC solutions in Nigeria’s rapidly evolving commercial and residential sectors.
