VETERAN Nigerian actors and actresses have pledged their commitment towards promoting Nigeria culture and improving the tourism sector through the “Project Tourism” initiative.
They made this commitment during the official launch of Project Tourism organised by Linas International Ltd in collaboration with the Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC).
Eucharia Anunobi, a renowned Nollywood star urged her colleagues to use their passion, expertise and experience to project a positive image of the country as it would attract an influx of tourists.
“I am a fanatical `Nollywoodian’, we need to put our hands together to project the image of our country and the life that will attract people in.”

Similarly, Ejike Asiegbu, another Nollywood veteran appeal to Nigerians to use different platforms towards ensuring the country attain greatness through supporting the project.
“We are committed to ensuring the success of this project and to make Nigeria great again.”
On her part, Actress Monalisa Chinda stressed on the role of tourism in job creation and massive business opportunities, which she said would bring Nigeria into more limelight.
Also, Francis Duru, who was the co-MC at the event spoke on the rich culture and norms among Nigerians adding that the project was an avenue to attract tourists to partake in its local rich heritage.
“There is something unique about our culture, we need to add value to it and contribute towards making this project a success.”
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that other notable actors and musicians at the event included Segun Arinze, Dani Danja, and King Geoffrey.
